Default Uses of a Guild Hall

I just had a thought and I thought I would share it with the community, but please keep in mind that I don't have a Guild Hall.

I'm running over guild strategy in my head and I thought to myself, "self, would it not be a good idea for the admins to implement a kind of sparring section for guilds to train themselves in tactics?"

I dont know if anyone else has had this idea, but what do you all think of that? There could be a system where you could make two groups within your own guild and then go at eachother. just for fun, not neccesarily with any big rewards, and to develop strategies within your own guild and test them out?

If this is a repeat thread, I appoligize, but I would like to hear other opinions on this matter.

I think that would be absolutely awsome. Make it just like an unrated GvG and possibly disable faction points for it and it'd be fine. Great place for testing builds and such... or just for some random fun when your guild is bored.

Nice idea and one that I've read before...not here but...somewhere. /nebulous thought of the day

I do think that it would be nice if guild halls could be 'upgraded' by guilds once they've got them. Maybe things could be purchased with all those extra sigils:

1) Merchant
2) Skill Trainer
3) Material Crafter
4) Sparring arena
5) Weapons Smith

Etc., etc.

Yea. That would be nice if you can setup practice session within your guild 4vs4, 8vs8 or whatever.

I like that idea, about buying "upgrades" for your hall with the sigils. But I think it would probably raise the price, making it harder for new players to get a guild. Course, I'm not good with guessing prices and all that jazz.

I must agree with this. Its too often that we see all of the guilds (well almost all) that are announced, in chat or wherever, always having a hall. And to top it all off, they act as if there are only a handful guilds that have 'em. Example; "The Dark Darkness Dark Dorks recruiting; we have capes and >>>>> HALL <<<<<<". Er, so what?

On anther note:

Boy, I would sure love to be the Sigil Trader.

I think it's a good idea, but they could get around raising the prices. For instance, they could just require (x) sigils to unlock different kinds of merchants or something.

I hold no grudge, but I'm glad to know that this isn't a stupid idea.

This has probably been mentioned 100,000 times - but if not actually some extra storage, at least a storage agent present at the guild hall?

I agree that a "training" option in the guild hall would be awesome, and I'm surprised they haven't implemented anything like this yet.

You make a party, another officer makes another party, you click on him and issue a challenge or somesuch, much like an unrated GvG with no faction awarded to anyone. Then again, it should not even require an officer to be present for this type of PvP.

This would be great because you could train pretty much anything... from showing your new test build to a guildie to training two entire teams of guildies for your next guild battle.

Lightbulb good idea

The problem with the guild hall lies with the fact that they are easy enough to get. Don't get me wrong it took me a month to save up for my hall...but i could have done it if i was the only member. It hardly confers status to have a hall. For future improvements to the hall instead of buying them they should be earned. Maybe a storage agent when you win your first gvg battle. A massive guild storage account when you get 50 members. That way you keep guilds interested in doing guild work. I think it will make struvung for guild milestones more fun and exciting when theres a reward for them. And to really confer status maybe you have to win 100 guild battles and have 50 plus active members (members not logged off over a week) and you get a training arena. Now that would really confer status. Silver Assasins now recruiting...guild storage and>>>>>>>training arena<<<<<<<<<<<<<

LOL, know what, I think they are going to have training arena sometime, if you look in the guild halls, they have a spot where it looks like you can train in. Like Warriors Isle, its right in the middle, with posts where the officers and leader can watch.
Anyone know what that stupid flag post is for? It should have your cape on it, not just some green shiney flag.
Sigil thing, BAD idea, its already worse anyways, people SELL sigils 55K, when there suppose to be worth 35K, because in the morning there worth 42K.
